One month and one day old today! What a big day!

I have to say that today has been great! James was eating every two hours for the past four to five days and it was exhausting but today has been a turn around! At least for now!

I hope you all are doing well and have a happy Thanksgiving!

This months is a month for remembering for me. I keep thinking today is the 22nd and not the 23rd, so I'm off a little, but I wanted to post a hymn that reminds me of my sister, Sarah. Not a day goes by still where I don't think about her and her impact on so many people. Sarah is my sister who passed away eight years ago from failing lungs. Sarah had cystic fibrosis. She had had a double lung transplant at the age of 16 and lived 9 years with transplanted lungs. That, however, didn't define her at all. What defined Sarah was her faith in Jesus and her sweet spirit.

Sarah and I didn't share a bedroom growing up until she was off to college (ironic), but we may as well have shared one growing up because I always ended up in her bed late at night to play Rook, Spades, Hearts, or Gin (thank you, Grandmother Sarah). I know we talked the whole time and laughed at each other (probably more of her laughing at her clumsy, goofy sister). I miss her with all of my heart and look forward to seeing her again...

Great is Thy Faithfulness

Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not;
As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be.

Great is Thy faithfulness!
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided;
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

Summer and winter and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.

Refrain

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!
